Review: As You Wish by Jackson Pearce

If any of you watch Jackson’s videos on Youtube, you know that she is funny. Wait a minute, let me rephrase that. If any of you watch Jackson’s videos on Youtube, you know that she is hilarious. That pretty much set the goal level another notch for her books. I hoped AS YOU WISH would be funny, just like Jackson herself, and let me say, I was NOT disappointed.

Having been subscribed to Jackson on Youtube for quite some time, it shocked me that I had waited this long to read a book from her. Don’t ask me why, because I don’t know the answer myself. Let me say this: this novel is one of the best debut novels I have EVER read.

I read this book in less than twenty four hours. This book is quickly paced, hilarious, and full of amazing qualities.

I have never read a book about a genie before. EVER. I was excited to start reading this book, and this book will always hold a sentimental feeling in my heart because it is the first book I have ever read on my Amazon Kindle.

I really liked all of the characters, and I don’t think there is a single specific character that I could pick out that I can say I disliked. I swear.

I liked how Jackson introduced Jinn within the first couple of pages, because it shows how most of the book was going to revolve around him and Viola.

I love Jackson’s writing style is pure and utter genius. It is funny, deep, emotional, light, fluffy, and so much more all at the same time. I don’t know how this lady does it, but my hat goes off to her!

Viola didn’t really start changing for me until the last half of the book, but it was for the best interest for her and the supporting characters, which I really enjoyed.

This is were this book is going to get picked on. I hate the cover for this book. I dislike a lot of covers that shows the eyes of the model on it, but I also don’t think that the cover represents the book at all, and the model is defiantly not what I pictured Viola to look like.

The others I liked for pretty much the same reasons as I have already said in this review about a thousand times, so I will not repeat what I already said. This book was amazing, and a must read!
